Signage For Local Beauty Spots

More signage news from in and around the UK from Hants and Dorset Signs as Rochford, Essex Council is helping visitors find its beauty spots.Brown tourist signs have been erected, highlighting places of interest, such as Hockley Woods and Sweyne Park.

Also, 14 new welcome signs have been put up across the boundary of the district, replacing those which had been in use for several years. Among the gems being promoted is the 200-year-old Rayleigh Windmill, which has received accreditation status for its museum by the Museums, Libraries and Archive Council.

Terry Cutmore, leader of Rochford District Council, who unveiled one of the signs, said many of the old ones had been in place for years and were starting to deteriorate.
