More signage news from around the world from Hants and Dorset Signs as the City of Cape Town this week has said it was busy setting up a road inspectorate, to ensure pole-mounted street name signs were not stolen or vandalised. Grassy Park Community Policing Forum chairperson Phillip Bam highlighted the problem, saying it had reached the extent where police had to stop and ask for directions.

“It is a concern to the city and it’s across the city. People are utilising these boards for various reasons, but we are in a process of putting together a team to be our ears and eyes on the ground to limit this activity,” said Bam.
