Airport Signage

More signage news from around the world from Hants and Dorset Signs as Lambert-St. Louis International Airport officials will overhaul the notoriously confusing array of road signs between Interstate 70 and the airport terminals.

The signing project will include renaming the Main Terminal and East Terminal to Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, respectively. The $1.2 million signage project got a $200,000 boost Wednesday from the Regional Business Council.

The new signs will go up in January. The Regional Business Council contribution will cover painting of sign structures, guardrails, streetlights and fencing.

"We are responding to our travelers and the community by replacing the roadway signs that are confusing, outdated and in some cases an eyesore," Airport Director Richard Hrabko said.
