“Our policy is what you put up, you take down,” said Bill O’Reilly, spokesman for Rob Astorino, a Republican who defeated County Executive Andrew Spano. He said any remaining signs would be taken down. “Sometimes the other campaign does that for you before Election Day.”
A general rule for campaigns is that volunteers and workers are responsible for the signs they put up, O’Reilly said.
With so many regional races, particularly ones for county executive, district attorney, county clerk and scores of other contests, one need not go far to see that some signs dot the landscape.
